Accounts Payable Specialist

We're seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist I to join a collaborative accounting team. In this role, you'll process vendor invoices, review purchase orders and statements for accuracy, prepare payments, and work directly with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies. The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of accounts payable or related accounting experience, a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, and is comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. We're looking for someone who is organized, dependable, able to prioritize multiple responsibilities, and committed to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. A few college courses are preferred, but a degree is not required. Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, or a related accounting support role.
• Working knowledge of accounts payable procedures, including invoice coding, account coding, ACH payments, and check processing.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial record accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook for daily administrative and reporting tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments and shifting priorities effectively.
• High level of accuracy, dependability, and attention to detail in financial transactions.
• Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and communicate clearly with vendors and internal stakeholders.
