Sr. Customer Service Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full order lifecycle, from initial entry through shipment completion, with careful attention to accuracy, timing, and customer requirements.
• Partner with internal teams to confirm inventory, delivery schedules, shipping details, export paperwork, and status updates so customer expectations are met.
• Build strong account relationships by supporting pricing discussions, proposal preparation, contract coordination, and other commercial activities tied to business growth.
• Track open orders, customer projections, and demand patterns to help improve planning visibility and day-to-day execution.
• Maintain customer records, shared service inboxes, internal account information, and reporting that supports service performance and operational follow-through.
• Identify workflow gaps and recommend practical improvements that strengthen efficiency, accountability, and the overall customer experience.
• Provide flexible support across customer service and commercial operations to ensure continuity during team coverage needs and shifting business demands.
• Communicate proactively with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, clarify priorities, and keep orders moving without unnecessary delays.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required.• Previous experience in customer service, order administration, account coordination, inside sales, or a related customer-facing function.
• Background in manufacturing, distribution, or another industrial business environment is strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams such as sales, operations, logistics, warehouse, and technical support.
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced setting with multiple competing demands.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a detail-oriented and service-oriented approach.
• Experience with order entry processes and EDI transactions is preferred.
• Proven commitment to delivering high-quality customer support with a sense of urgency and ownership.
Compensation
