Cable Technician
Responsibilities:
• Install, route, and secure low-voltage cabling for network and communication systems in accordance with site requirements and safety expectations.
• Terminate and test copper and fiber connections to confirm dependable performance and proper signal continuity.
• Read work orders, layout details, and technical documentation to complete cabling assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Label cables, organize pathways, and maintain clean installation practices that support future troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Inspect completed work, identify issues with connectivity or physical installation, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with onsite teams and project contacts to meet scheduling needs and ensure work is completed to specification.
• Use hand tools, testing equipment, and installation materials safely while following established job site procedures.
Qualifications:
• Hands-on experience with network cabling, cable installation, and low-voltage infrastructure work.• Working knowledge of copper and fiber-optic cabling methods, including routing, termination, and testing.
• Ability to interpret basic technical instructions, cabling layouts, and installation documentation.
• Familiarity with industry-standard tools, testers, and safe job site practices.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to keep cable runs neat, labeled, and well organized.
• Ability to work independently in the field while managing time effectively and meeting project deadlines.
Compensation
