Overview

We are seeking an experienced Wireless Test Engineer to support wireless network performance initiatives and critical technology operations in a fast-paced enterprise environment. This role combines DevOps engineering, automation, cloud infrastructure, testing, analytics, and wireless device performance evaluation to help deliver high-quality customer experiences across mobile and wireless networks.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience with infrastructure automation, CI/CD, cloud technologies, containerization, systems operations, and wireless device testing within 4G/5G environments.

Roles Responsibilities:

• Support the XM performance team for measuring the wireless network performance including 4G 5G and Wi Fi network Mobile.
• Develop and maintain testing strategy test plans and test cases for measuring the overall customer experience.
• Collect logs and perform triaging of defects from iOs and android device testing.
• Perform data analytics and visualization
• Perform a walk test in the field to simulate some customer experience use cases.
• Prepare the test report and presentation to show the test finding.
• Coordinate debugging sessions between OEMs and engineering teams to investigate issues for resolution.
• Ability to work adhere to all NDAs and work on confidential projects at Comcast. Able to drive technical conversations with OEM partners with regards to device defects and debugging as needed.
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams deliver activities and tasks necessary for successful launch and achievement of business objectives.

Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of wireless technologies and mobile network architectures, including:
• 4G LTE
• 5G (SA, NSA, mmWave)
• VoLTE
• VoWiFi
• RCS
• SMS/MMS
• Understanding of RRC and NAS protocol call flows.
• Experience testing and certifying mobile devices in laboratory and field environments.
• Hands-on experience with iOS and Android device testing.
• Experience using device logging and diagnostic tools such as:
• XCAL
• XCAP
• QXDM
• Experience with data analytics and visualization tools such as:
• Tableau
• Databricks
• Cloud-based analytics platforms
• Experience communicating technical findings to engineering teams, device manufacturers, and external technology partners.
