Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk for a contract assignment supporting a busy accounting team in the Des Moines metro. This role will focus on accounts receivable, reconciliations, collections, and related accounting functions while helping ensure continuity during an employee leave.

Responsibilities

• Process customer payments, apply cash, and resolve posting discrepancies.
• Manage commercial collections and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Prepare invoices and reconcile AR accounts, deposits, and payment activity.
• Research and resolve billing, account, and payment discrepancies.
• Support reporting, unclaimed property processing, and basic AP functions.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with cash application, collections, and account reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving, research, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
