Business Analytics/Data Analyst

Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Business Analytics/Data Analyst to support one of our clients on interim basis. This long-term contract position focuses on analyzing, transforming, and validating complex financial and operational data to help ensure accurate loading into a Workday environment. The role is ideal for someone who combines strong General Ledger knowledge with advanced Microsoft Fabric and Power BI capabilities. You will work alongside project, finance, and systems teams to improve data quality, strengthen reconciliation processes, and deliver actionable reporting throughout the engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead data preparation, transformation, and validation activities across multiple legacy financial and operational source systems for Workday-related data loads.

• Examine General Ledger data, chart of accounts relationships, and transaction-level records to confirm accuracy, completeness, and alignment with target structures.

• Design, enhance, and maintain Microsoft Fabric pipelines, staging layers, and data models that support large-scale enterprise analytics and migration work.

• Create Power BI dashboards and reconciliation reporting that provide visibility into data quality, exception tracking, migration status, and balancing results.

• Partner with finance stakeholders, functional leads, and subject matter experts to investigate discrepancies, clarify mapping rules, and resolve data issues.

• Perform detailed analysis of high-volume, multi-source datasets to identify anomalies, trends, and risks that could affect migration outcomes.

• Support testing, cutover readiness, and post-load verification activities by monitoring results and confirming that loaded data meets business expectations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in data migration, data validation, or enterprise analytics work within large-scale system implementation programs.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger structures, chart of accounts design, financial reporting relationships, and transaction reconciliation concepts.
• Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Fabric, including data pipelines, transformation workflows, and modern data storage or modeling components.
• Advanced Power BI skills with the ability to build complex data models, interactive dashboards, and reconciliation-focused reporting solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques for working with large, complex, and multi-source datasets.
• Experience with data mapping, data integrity controls, and issue resolution across financial or operational systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly to both technical and business audiences.

Compensation

$70.00-$85.00 Hourly
