SAP Functional Project Lead / SAP Implementation Lead
HOT OPENING! Our client is looking to intnerview first week of August for an immediate start date for this remote full time opening. Our client prefers a local Tampa Bay area hire but open to hiring remote on a national level.
We are looking for an experienced SAP Project Analyst Lead / SAP Implementation Lead to guide enterprise-scale SAP initiatives within a global manufacturing environment in the greater Tampa Bay area.. This role combines functional leadership, hands-on configuration expertise, and cross-site deployment management to deliver scalable business solutions across multiple SAP modules. The ideal candidate brings strong project governance, deep knowledge of integrated enterprise processes, and the ability to translate complex business needs into effective system designs.
Responsibilities:
• Lead complex SAP implementation programs and serve as the functional point of ownership for enterprise-level projects from planning through deployment.
• Coordinate the rollout of enhanced SAP capabilities across multiple sites, ensuring alignment among stakeholders, timelines, and business objectives.
• Manage high-impact change requests tied to strategic initiatives, assessing scope, business value, and downstream system effects.
• Configure SAP solutions across more than one module and oversee integration points between core enterprise applications, including manufacturing and materials processes.
• Produce detailed functional design documentation, including process flows, data mappings, table structures, and solution specifications for custom or enhanced functionality.
• Facilitate meetings, virtual presentations, and working sessions with technical teams, business users, and leadership audiences to communicate requirements and solution designs clearly.
• Drive continuous improvement efforts by analyzing trends, identifying process inefficiencies, and implementing system or workflow enhancements that improve performance and reduce cost.
• Partner with managers and cross-functional teams to provide regular project updates, escalate complex issues appropriately, and promote best practices across locations.
• Support compliance with company standards related to quality, security, confidentiality, health, and safety in all project and system-related activities.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience in IT and business environments.• At least 7 years of experience leading SAP functional projects, including large-scale implementations in enterprise settings.
• Formal certification in a primary SAP module is required.
• Strong hands-on SAP configuration experience across multiple modules, with particular strength in SAP PP and SAP MM.
• Solid understanding of end-to-end integration across SAP modules and related ERP processes, including MRP and global manufacturing operations.
• Proven ability to create detailed functional specifications, process maps, entity relationships, and data definitions for complex business solutions.
• Demonstrated success in IT project management, cross-site solution deployment, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present effectively to diverse audiences and collaborate across business and technical teams.
Compensation
