Paralegal
Responsibilities:
• Examine collective bargaining agreements, work rules, and related documents to identify possible contract compliance concerns involving pilot pay, scheduling, and benefits.
• Conduct legal and regulatory research across federal and state law, administrative guidance, and aviation-related regulations, using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to locate relevant authority.
• Partner with pilot representatives, council leaders, and internal stakeholders to gather records, statements, and supporting materials for grievances and arbitration matters.
• Prepare case summaries, chronologies, and supporting documentation to assist attorneys with dispute resolution strategy and legal review.
• Attend hearings and proceedings to capture detailed notes, track key discussion points, and support attorneys during case-related meetings.
• Organize and maintain case files, evidence, and correspondence to ensure materials are accurate, complete, and readily accessible.
• Assist with reviewing workplace disputes and contract-related issues that may be resolved before formal court proceedings.
• Communicate clearly with internal teams to follow up on outstanding information, clarify case details, and keep matters moving efficiently.
Qualifications:
• Experience working as a paralegal in a legal, labor relations, or dispute resolution environment.• Strong background in legal research, document analysis, and case support.
• Familiarity with grievances, arbitration, litigation support, or other formal dispute processes.
• Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor-related matters is required.
• Ability to gather and evaluate facts, documents, and evidence with a high level of accuracy and discretion.
• Proficiency with legal research platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw.
• Aviation industry experience is preferred.
• Excellent written communication, organization, and note-taking skills.
