Accounts Payable Specialist

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a real estate property and facilities management team in Boca Raton, Florida. This contract position with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who is comfortable working onsite, can quickly learn internal processes, and brings strong accounts payable experience in a fast-paced environment. The role focuses on invoice processing, payment accuracy, and supporting day-to-day financial operations with attention to detail and consistency.

Responsibilities:
• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner to support daily accounts payable operations.
• Review invoice details against purchase orders and receiving documentation to ensure proper three-way matching before payment.
• Maintain organized payment records and supporting documentation to promote accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
• Use Yardi and related systems to enter invoices, track payment status, and manage accounts payable activity efficiently.
• Coordinate with internal team members and vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies, missing approvals, and payment-related questions.
• Support onboarding and training activities by learning internal workflows and applying new procedures as needed.
• Prepare spreadsheet tracking and reporting using Microsoft Excel, including formulas to monitor invoice status and payment activity.
• Assist with additional accounts payable tasks and operational priorities during the contract assignment period as business needs require.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in accounts payable, preferably within real estate, property management, or facilities-related environments.

• Ability to perform three-way matching and identify discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receipts.

• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas for tracking, reconciliation, and reporting.

• High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail when handling financial transactions.

• Ability to work onsite in Boca Raton, Florida and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to learn new processes quickly in a structured team setting.

Compensation

$19.00-$20.00 Hourly
