My client is hiring an Accounts Payable Manager to lead its centralized AP function from our Boston headquarters. This role will oversee end-to-end accounts payable operations, expense management, purchase order controls, vendor management, and AP policy governance across both domestic and international entities.


This is an ideal opportunity for a builder-minded leader who enjoys creating scalable processes, implementing technology, and partnering across the business to strengthen financial controls and improve spend management. Reporting to the Director of Accounting Operations and Transformation, this position manages one direct report and plays an important role in shaping the future of the AP function. Qualifications:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all aspects of AP operations for a centralized U.S.-based function supporting domestic and international entities, with a focus on accuracy, scalability, and strong internal controls.
  • Own the AP technology environment, including Ramp administration, while identifying and implementing automation opportunities across invoice processing, approvals, payments, and expense management.
  • Establish and maintain AP policies, standard operating procedures, performance metrics, and reporting for Finance leadership.
  • Implement and manage a formal purchase order program, enforce three-way match controls, and oversee vendor onboarding, reconciliations, payment terms, and issue resolution.
  • Partner closely with Procurement, Legal, FP& A, Operations, and business leaders to improve financial governance and ensure AP compliance across multiple international jurisdictions.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive accounts payable experience, including 3+ years in a management or lead role.
  • Proven success building or transforming an AP function and improving processes at scale.
  • Hands-on experience with Ramp, including implementation, configuration, administration, and optimization.
  • Experience implementing a purchase order program and managing AP across multiple international jurisdictions.
  • Strong knowledge of AP automation, financial controls, VAT/GST considerations, and cross-border compliance requirements.
  • Experience with ERP platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is preferred.




Compensation

$110,000.00-$130,000.00 Yearly
