Project Manager/Sr. Consultant

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager/Sr. Consultant to guide a portfolio of business-critical technology initiatives for a non-profit organization in Chicago, Illinois. This Long-term Contract opportunity calls for a leader who can bring structure to complex programs, align cross-functional teams, and maintain momentum from planning through post-launch stabilization. The ideal candidate will combine strong delivery discipline with excellent stakeholder communication to support enterprise platforms, data-focused work, and user adoption efforts.

Responsibilities:
• Create and oversee integrated project roadmaps, key milestones, interdependencies, risk logs, and delivery schedules across major initiatives involving member data and Salesforce-related programs.
• Lead coordination across parallel business and technical workstreams, ensuring implementation activities, testing efforts, training preparation, and launch readiness remain aligned.
• Monitor cross-team dependencies involving internal departments, external partners, and technology vendors to reduce delays and keep commitments on schedule.
• Manage third-party providers by setting expectations, tracking progress, escalating issues, and confirming that deliverables meet timeline and quality standards.
• Support data migration and readiness activities, including planning, validation, reconciliation, stakeholder alignment, and cutover execution.
• Direct Salesforce consolidation efforts by organizing business process alignment, access and role planning, reporting needs, and adoption preparation.
• Organize testing cycles, defect review, business approvals, go-live planning, launch communications, and hypercare support after deployment.
• Maintain strong governance practices through executive updates, stakeholder communications, issue escalation, decision tracking, and regular status reviews.
• Partner with business leaders to coordinate training materials, user support sessions, adoption monitoring, and broader change management activities.
• Apply disciplined project controls around scope, risks, dependencies, readiness checkpoints, and post-implementation stabilization.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated success leading complex projects with multiple workstreams from initial planning through implementation and stabilization.
• Experience supporting enterprise system initiatives, ideally in environments involving membership, finance, marketing, events, customer support, or related business functions.
• Hands-on involvement with data migration or data readiness work, including validation, issue management, stakeholder coordination, and cutover planning.
• Background delivering Salesforce implementations, transformation efforts, or consolidation programs with a focus on process alignment and adoption.
• Strong project management capability in dependency tracking, risk management, issue resolution, and readiness planning across cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to manage vendors and implementation partners with clear accountability, action follow-up, and timely escalation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present detailed project information clearly to executives and business stakeholders.
• Experience facilitating governance meetings, coordinating testing and go-live activities, and operating effectively in fast-moving, high-visibility environments.

Compensation

$44.34-$51.34 Hourly
