Medical Scheduler
Responsibilities:
• Arrange patient appointments with outside vendors and confirm scheduling details in a timely manner.
• Coordinate transportation services to help patients arrive for scheduled visits and related care needs.
• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while delivering attentive customer support.
• Communicate with patients and external contacts to provide updates, gather needed information, and resolve scheduling issues.
• Review medical records for accuracy by applying proper naming standards and routing documents to the correct locations.
• Organize and assign incoming documentation so records remain complete, accessible, and properly categorized.
• Maintain accurate patient demographic and appointment information within scheduling workflows.
• Support daily dispatching and coordination activities to keep appointments and related services running smoothly.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in medical scheduling, patient appointment coordination, or a similar healthcare support role.• Strong background in customer service or dispatching, particularly in a high-volume phone-based environment.
• High level of attention to detail when entering information, handling records, and managing multiple tasks.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, vendors, and transportation providers.
• Familiarity with patient demographics, appointment scheduling processes, and patient contact procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced setting with changing priorities throughout the day.
• Experience supporting medical records tasks, including document naming, assignment, and organization.
Compensation
