Workplace Observation Specialist
We are seeking a detail-oriented Workplace Observation Specialist for a one-month contract assignment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, has excellent observational skills, and can clearly document findings. Unlike our hospitality-focused positions, this assignment centers on workplace utilization and facility observations.
The successful candidate will work onsite with remote guidance, conducting scheduled observations throughout the day and documenting workplace usage trends and facility concerns.
Responsibilities
- Conduct onsite workplace observations over a one-month period.
- Perform observations during peak occupancy times, including approximately:
- 8:30 AM
- 10:00 AM
- 12:00 PM
- 2:00 PM
- (At minimum, complete one morning and one afternoon observation daily.)
- Record rough employee headcounts.
- Observe and document:
- Neighborhood/workstation utilization
- Focus room and meeting room usage
- First-floor versus second-floor occupancy patterns
- Identify and document workplace issues, including:
- Worn or damaged furniture
- Broken workplace kit-of-parts or office equipment
- Meeting room technology or equipment issues
- Prepare clear, organized reports summarizing daily observations and findings.
- Communicate observations accurately to the remote management team.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
- Comfortable working independently with minimal onsite supervision.
- Ability to recognize patterns and identify workplace issues.
- Reliable, punctual, and organized.
- Proficient with basic computer applications for documenting findings.
- Previous experience in facilities, office operations, workplace services, quality assurance, auditing, inspections, administrative support, or similar observational roles is preferred but not required.

Compensation
