Legal Assistant
HYBRID - 2 days in office
Our client is seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support a team of attorneys and legal professionals in a fast-paced litigation practice. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive administrative and litigation support, managing case-related documents, coordinating schedules and deadlines, and ensuring the efficient operation of legal matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities, and comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with attorneys, paralegals, and other support staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, edit, proofread, and format legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, subpoenas, correspondence, and other case-related materials.
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files and records.
- Coordinate and process electronic filings with state and federal courts and administrative agencies.
- Track litigation deadlines and manage complex attorney calendars to ensure timely filings, hearings, and case activities.
- Assist with document organization, discovery management, and case preparation.
- Coordinate communication among attorneys, paralegals, clients, courts, and outside parties.
- Manage document retention and file-closing procedures in accordance with firm policies.
- Arrange attorney travel, conferences, registrations, and expense reimbursement requests.
- Support continuing legal education (CLE) tracking, registrations, and reporting requirements.
- Provide backup support to other administrative professionals and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Required
- Minimum of 3 years of administrative, legal support, or related professional experience, including at least 1 year supporting litigation matters.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Experience managing attorney calendars, deadlines, and scheduling.
- Strong understanding of legal document formatting and court filing procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work independently.
Preferred
- Experience supporting employment, labor, or civil litigation practices.
- Familiarity with Minnesota eFile & Serve.
- Knowledge of federal and state court procedures.
- Experience working with administrative agency matters, arbitrations, or employment disputes.

Compensation
Salary Range: $60,000 - $63,000
