Sr Manager Global Accounting & Reporting
We are seeking an experienced accounting leader to provide oversight of technical accounting, global financial reporting, and enterprise-wide accounting programs within a complex, multinational manufacturing environment. This highly visible role will partner closely with executive leadership, business unit leaders, and cross-functional teams to drive accounting excellence, ensure compliance with evolving accounting standards, and promote consistency across global operations.
The ideal candidate will bring deep technical accounting expertise, strong business acumen, and a strategic mindset, with the ability to navigate complex transactions, support organizational growth initiatives, and enhance accounting processes on a global scale. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, balancing technical compliance with practical business solutions while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze, interpret, and apply accounting standards to ensure consistent treatment of complex transactions and alignment across global operations.
- Research, develop, and communicate accounting positions related to key technical areas such as revenue recognition, software and technology investments, fixed assets, capital projects, leasing arrangements, and other complex accounting matters.
- Evaluate accounting implications of significant business transactions, strategic initiatives, acquisitions, restructurings, and other non-routine activities to ensure compliance with applicable accounting guidance.
- Lead the consolidated U.S. audit process, serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors and coordinating audit activities across multiple business units and functions.
- Support international statutory reporting requirements and local audits, partnering with regional finance leaders to address technical accounting issues and maintain regulatory compliance.
- Provide oversight of critical accounting processes and enterprise-wide programs, including financial consolidations, intercompany transactions, fixed asset accounting, chart of accounts governance, and general ledger integrity.
- Drive process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline workflows, enhance reporting accuracy, strengthen internal controls, and increase overall efficiency within the accounting organization.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, legal, tax, IT, and other cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accounting practices support business objectives and align with corporate policies.
- Prepare and deliver accounting guidance and recommendations to executive leadership, proactively identifying and escalating significant risks, emerging issues, and complex accounting matters.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a geographically dispersed accounting team, fostering professional growth, knowledge sharing, and succession planning while promoting a high-performance culture.
- Support the ongoing evolution of accounting policies, procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency, scalability, and compliance across a global organization.
- Act as a key contributor to strategic finance initiatives, helping the organization navigate growth, operational changes, and evolving business requirements while maintaining a strong control environment.
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, including technical accounting and financial reporting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
• Expertise in GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Proficiency with accounting and reporting systems, such as SAP.
• Strong experience in managing audits, including statutory and consolidated U.S. audits.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams across multiple regions.
• Proven track record of evaluating and implementing accounting policies and processes.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.
