Buyer

Our client is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst/Buyer for a temp-to-hire opportunity. This role will be responsible for inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement to support target stock levels and customer service goals. The position will also manage planning inputs, recommend inventory adjustments, and collaborate cross-functionally with Brand Management, Logistics, and Operations to support business strategy and efficient inventory movement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory planning, forecasting, and procurement activities
• Maintain and update planning system inputs including lead times, service levels, and inventory targets
• Recommend changes to inventory levels and reorder points based on demand history and supplier performance
• Partner with Brand Management to align forecasting with sales initiatives, market trends, and brand strategy
• Collaborate with Logistics and Operations to support efficient, cost-effective inventory movement
• Provide reporting and analytical support for special projects and business initiatives

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
• 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, planning, or purchasing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience with supply chain planning tools such as Blue Ridge, Oracle, Logility, or JDA preferred
• Experience with ERP systems such as Great Plains, Navision, or Apprise preferred
• Experience with BI tools such as Diver, Halo, or Business Objects preferred
• APICS CPIM/CSCP and/or CPSM certification is a plus
