AR Specialist

Robert Half Contracts Finance and Accounting division is seeking an AR Specialist to join a fast-growing company who is looking for an AR Specialist to join their team long-term! The job duties would include:

• Process daily cash, check, ACH, and credit card deposits.
• Apply customer payments accurately to outstanding invoices.
• Monitor customer accounts and aging reports.
• Contact customers regarding past-due balances and resolve payment issues professionally.
• Submit invoices and supporting documentation to customers.
• Respond to customer billing inquiries via phone and email.
• Maintain accurate customer account information.
• Process credit card transactions and customer payments.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile payment activity.
• Code tax-exempt documentation and maintain appropriate records.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Management to resolve account discrepancies.
• Generate reports related to accounts receivable activity.
• Welcome and assist customers visiting the front office as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
• Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Accounts Receivable or general accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and accounting software.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
