HR Manager

Compensation: $39 to $44 Hourly

Robert Half is partnering with a growing construction company seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to oversee human resources operations and support a dynamic workforce. This role is ideal for an HR professional who enjoys building strong employee relationships, improving processes, and partnering with leadership to support business goals in a fast-paced construction environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, onboarding, offboarding, and HR administration.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Partner with leadership and managers to provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and offer coordination.
  • Support onboarding processes for new employees, including employment documentation, orientations, and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Manage benefits administration and serve as a resource for employee questions regarding HR programs.
  • Partner with payroll to review timesheets, resolve discrepancies, and ensure accurate processing.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, training programs, and company culture efforts.
  • Assist with safety compliance, workers’ compensation, and employment practices related to construction operations.
  • Prepare HR reports, analyze workforce data, and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain confidential employee information with professionalism and discretion.



Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, preferably within the construction, engineering, manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience supporting both salaried and hourly employees, including field-based teams.
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and credibility with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with construction industry compliance, safety programs, or prevailing wage requirements is a plus.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification is preferred.



Compensation

$39.00-$44.00 Hourly
