Civil Engineer
We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Professional Civil Engineer to join our growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of civil engineering, drainage, hydrology, and infrastructure projects while collaborating with a talented group of engineers, surveyors, and project stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet client objectives and regulatory requirements.
Position Summary:
The Professional Civil Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, analysis, and management of civil engineering projects. This role requires proficiency in civil design software, hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, project coordination, and client interaction. The selected candidate will play a key role in project execution from concept through construction support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare civil engineering plans, specifications, reports, and technical documentation.
- Develop grading, drainage, stormwater, and site development designs.
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses using industry-standard software.
- Create and review engineering drawings utilizing Civil 3D and other CAD platforms.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, regulatory agencies, and internal project teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Assist with permitting and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Conduct engineering calculations and analyses using advanced mathematical and spreadsheet tools.
- Participate in project meetings, site visits, and occasional field investigations.
- Support business development initiatives, client relationships, and networking opportunities as needed.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with 3-10 years of relevant civil engineering experience.
- Current Texas PE license or ability to obtain Texas licensure within three (3) months of employment.
- PE license must be in good standing with all applicable state licensing boards.
- Ability to disclose any prior professional license suspensions or revocations if requested.
- High proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D (2023 or newer).
- Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic software including:
- HEC-HMS
- HEC-RAS
- HydroFlow
- Similar H& H modeling platforms
- Advanced knowledge of engineering mathematics, including calculus and trigonometry.
- Expert-level Microsoft Excel skills for engineering calculations and data analysis.
- Excellent organizational, project management, and time management abilities.
- Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- No adverse legal or regulatory judgments that would materially affect professional licensure or ability to practice engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer licensure in additional states, including Oklahoma, New Mexico, or other surrounding states.
- Experience with additional CAD, drainage, and H& H software packages.
- Flexibility for occasional travel related to project needs, client meetings, or company-sponsored events.
- Interest in supporting business development efforts through industry events, sponsorships, client engagement, and relationship-building activities.
Compensation
