TheNRGOncology Statistics and Data Management Center (NRGSDMC) is a large, national, federally funded multi-center organization that conducts clinical trials research with offices in Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Buffalo and Chicago. TheNRGSDMCoffice at the University of Pittsburgh is responsible for collection, processing, and management of numerous cancer clinical trials. There are over 1800 clinical sites in our research network which provide over 6,000 participants annually for theNRGOncology clinical trials. Under supervision of the Director of PI, the Administrative Assistant supports the operation of the SDMC Pittsburgh Office.
Administrative duties
Act as a liaison between the Office and the Hillman Cancer Center
Act as liaison between the Office and sponsors, including University of Chicago, the NRG Foundation and the NSABP Foundation.
Make announcements within the Data Center
Prepare travel reimbursements and assist with travel arrangements.
Collect needed information from staff and faculty members of the Office.
Track training certificates.
Format and edit budget justifications and other application forms, such as Other Support and NIH Biosketch.
Financial duties
Maintain grant and project documents
Work with Director on grant/project-related documents
Track timelines/milestones
Interpret University accounting levels
Purchasing responsibilities-collect quotes, agreements, and other required docs for submission through Pitt purchasing system.
Job Summary
Supports senior level roles in a wide variety of complex administrative and office functions as well as specialized technical support for academic or administrative departments.
Essential Functions
The candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and should have the ability to work across multiple tasks at one time.
