Job Overview

The Associate Corporate Legal Counsel provides legal guidance and support to the organization on a broad range of business, corporate, regulatory, employment, healthcare, and operational matters. This role partners closely with business leaders to identify legal risks, develop practical solutions, and ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws. This role reviews and negotiates contracts, advises on corporate governance and regulatory compliance, supports litigation management, and assists with legal initiatives that align with the organization's strategic objectives.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Licensed to practice in California.

  • Member of the California State Bar in good standing.

  • Minimum 2 years as a practicing attorney in a large law firm and/or in-house preferred.

  • Experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.

  • Experience advising business clients on corporate, regulatory, employment, or healthcare legal matters.

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

  • Experience supporting integrated healthcare systems, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), managed care organizations, or other regulated healthcare environments.

  • Experience with healthcare regulatory compliance, privacy, corporate governance, and employment law.

  • Experience managing outside counsel and litigation matters.

  • Experience in Real Estate, Human Resources, and compliance preferred.

Compensation

$139,925.76 - $174,907.20 annually

The range is subject to change. AltaMed is committed to ensuring a fair and competitive compensation package that reflects the candidate's value and the role's strategic importance within the organization.
