Job Description Summary
The University of South Alabama’s Registrar’s Office is seeking to hire an Academic Records Supervisor. Interested candidates should apply to be considered.
Essential Functions

These are the job duties required of the position.

Essential Functions
  • Assists students with registering for online courses to include accessing online courses and logging in.
  • Assists with resolving registration and scheduling issues.
  • Prepares date codes, drop/add dates, refund dates, time tickets and deadline information for entry into Banner.
  • Provides support to academic departments regarding registration, class scheduling, and curriculum action processes.
  • Assists students with registration issues, adding and dropping courses, and withdrawals.
  • Ensures information is accurate before being published.
  • Ensures that information collected in the residency reclassification process meets state law requirements and are processed in a timely manner.
  • Supervises lower level staff to include assigning duties, checking work and assisting Associate Registrar with preparing evaluations;
  • Answers registration questions for students and staff.
  • Monitors departmental email accounts.
  • Interacts with faculty and staff by telephone, e-mail or in person.
  • Adheres to student confidentiality rights as legislated by the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) of 1974 in handling academic records and responding to third party requests.
  • Ensures accuracy and compliance with University requirements to maintain academic integrity.
  • Moves boxes weighing up to 30 lbs.
  • Attends special events that may require working nights and weekends.
  • Regular and prompt attendance.
  • Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required.
  • Related duties as required.
