Position Summary

The audiovisual (AV) Project Manager is responsible for managing audiovisual (AV) integration projects from planning through completion. This role serves as the primary point of contact for customers during project execution and works closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to scope.

The audiovisual (AV) Project Manager oversees project schedules, coordinates resources, manages documentation, resolves issues, and keeps customers informed throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity to manage a variety of commercial AV integration projects while partnering with customers and cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

What You'll Do:  

  • Manage multiple AV integration projects from project kickoff through closeout.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout project execution.
  • Develop and manage project schedules while balancing scope, budget, quality, and timelines.
  • Coordinate internal resources, installation teams, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment procurement.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
  • Lead project implementation teams by assigning responsibilities and maintaining accountability.
  • Partner with estimating and engineering teams during project planning, site surveys, and project handoffs.
  • Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes, schedules, RFIs, change orders, punch lists, and project closeout documentation.
  • Coordinate project logistics, equipment deliveries, and installation schedules.
  • Support installation teams with system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning when needed.
  • Ensure projects comply with company standards, customer requirements, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Attend customer meetings, project reviews, safety meetings, and required training.
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing professional development.


What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Two or more years of project management experience in the AV/IT industry or a related technical field.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and project schedules.
  • Ability to obtain an AVIXA CTS certification within one year of hire.
  • Ability to obtain a PMP certification within one year of hire.
  • Willingness to travel as project needs require, including occasional overnight travel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience managing commercial AV integration or low-voltage technology projects.
  • Experience working with construction teams, general contractors, architects, and consultants.
  • Current AVIXA CTS and/or PMP certification.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams.
