Bilingual Spanish Patient Service Representative
We are looking for a bilingual Spanish Patient Service Representative to support daily front-end patient service operations in Miami, Florida. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance patient-facing service, administrative coordination, and billing-related tasks while maintaining professionalism and discretion. The person in this role will help create a smooth experience for patients by managing registration, scheduling, payment collection, and documentation with accuracy and care.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors professionally, delivering courteous service in every interaction while safeguarding confidential information.
• Complete patient intake and registration activities accurately, ensuring demographic and coverage details are properly documented.
• Review financial information, collect applicable patient payments, and record transactions in line with established procedures.
• Process billing for assigned providers, monitor charge activity, and follow up on unresolved encounters to help keep accounts current.
• Coordinate with program leadership regarding appointment activity, including missed visits, schedule updates, and follow-up needs.
• Place outbound calls to confirm upcoming appointments and support attendance readiness for scheduled visits.
• Prepare and maintain operational logs, statistics, and compliance-related reports as required for departmental tracking.
• Scan and organize patient documents within the medical record to support accurate and accessible chart documentation.
• Assist with Medicaid and managed care processes, including insurance verification, eligibility review, enrollment support, and disenrollment actions.
• Schedule both initial and return appointments, share information about available organizational and community services, and assist with additional projects assigned by leadership.
Qualifications:
• Experience in patient access, medical front office, healthcare customer service, or a similar administrative support role.
• Working knowledge of patient registration, appointment scheduling, payment collection, and medical billing practices.
• Ability to verify insurance coverage, support benefit-related processes, and manage authorization or eligibility tasks accurately.
• Proficiency with healthcare and office systems such as Allscripts, Cerner, Dentrix, CRM platforms, or comparable applications.
• Comfort handling inbound calls, documenting patient information, and maintaining organized electronic records.
• Familiarity with reporting tools or data tracking methods, including logs, compliance reporting, or dashboard-style metrics.
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion - Must Be Bilingual Spanish
• Capacity to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced clinical setting while supporting patients, providers, and internal teams effectively.
