Accounting Clerk
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and assisting with general accounting and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Enter and maintain financial data in accounting systems
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare and process invoices, expense reports, and payments
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records
- Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding billing and payments
- Support audits by gathering documentation and preparing reports
- Perform administrative duties related to accounting operations
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- 1+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or clerical experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications:
• Experience handling collections for commercial and/or consumer accounts.• Working knowledge of credit and collection practices, including account follow-up and payment resolution.
• Background in billing support, account reconciliation, or related accounting functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive financial discussions professionally.
• High attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate account documentation.
• Proficiency with standard office software and accounting or billing systems.
• Ability to organize workload effectively and manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Compensation
