Credit Analyst
Responsibilities:
• Review credit applications, third-party reports, and supporting financial information to assess the risk of new customer accounts.
• Approve or recommend customer credit limits in alignment with established authority levels and sound credit judgment.
• Handle incoming payments and authorized electronic transactions in Versapay, maintain proper documentation, and address declined payments, returns, or chargebacks.
• Investigate invoice disputes, payment discrepancies, and deduction issues, then identify underlying causes and work toward timely resolution.
• Create and process account adjustments and credit memos according to departmental policies and controls.
• Work closely with sales partners to resolve account concerns and keep orders moving while preserving independent credit decision-making.
• Analyze aging trends, account performance, and portfolio activity using Excel and Power BI reporting tools.
• Provide additional support to the Credit Manager and team through collections assistance, escalations, cross-coverage, and project-based work, including transition-related tasks when needed.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial credit, collections, or a closely related accounts receivable function.• Demonstrated ability to evaluate credit applications and make informed recommendations on account setup and credit exposure.
• Experience working with payment processing activities, including electronic payments, credit card transactions, and issue resolution.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate disputes, short pays, deductions, and account irregularities.
• Proficiency in Excel and experience using reporting or dashboard tools such as Power BI.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders while exercising independent judgment in credit decisions.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
