Sr. Credit Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Credit Analyst to join our team on a Contract basis in Franklin, Massachusetts. In this role, you will evaluate commercial lending opportunities across business, commercial real estate, and construction portfolios while shaping well-supported recommendations for lending leaders. This position also offers the opportunity to work closely with relationship managers and credit partners, while providing guidance to less experienced analysts.

Responsibilities:
• Assess commercial, commercial real estate, and construction loan requests by reviewing financial performance, repayment capacity, collateral strength, and overall creditworthiness.
• Develop thorough credit presentations and written analyses that clearly outline risks, mitigants, and lending recommendations for senior decision-makers.
• Track portfolio performance by reviewing covenant compliance, past-due trends, policy exceptions, and emerging risk indicators across assigned relationships.
• Deliver informed recommendations to lending leadership to support sound credit decisions and balanced portfolio growth.
• Partner with commercial lenders and credit administration teams to gather information, clarify structure, and strengthen underwriting outcomes.
• Support entry-level analysts through coaching, review feedback, and day-to-day guidance on credit evaluation practices.
• Examine cash flow, borrower financial statements, and related documentation to identify repayment trends and potential exposure concerns.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or a closely related banking environment.

• Demonstrated ability to evaluate commercial, commercial real estate, and construction loan transactions.

• Strong knowledge of credit applications, credit memoranda, and commercial underwriting standards.

• Experience analyzing cash flow, financial statements, collateral positions, and risk factors.

• Familiarity with monitoring exception reports, covenant compliance, and title-related exceptions.

• Ability to communicate credit findings and recommendations clearly to lending and management teams.

• Strong attention to detail and sound judgment when assessing borrower risk and loan structure.

Compensation

$28.50-$34.00 Hourly
