Medical Scheduler

We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments, manage provider calendars, and support efficient front-office operations. The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, scheduling experience in a healthcare setting, and the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule:

• Monday: 8am – 5pm
• Tuesday: 8am – 5pm
• Wednesday: 11am – 8pm (once per month) + 1 hour lunch
• Thurs: 8am – 5pm
• Fri: 8am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments across multiple providers or departments.
• Answer inbound calls and assist patients with appointment-related questions.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and referral requirements before appointments.
• Coordinate cancellations, waitlists, and urgent scheduling needs.
• Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record and scheduling systems.
• Communicate with clinical staff, patients, and external offices to ensure continuity of care.
• Follow office procedures, privacy standards, and customer service expectations.

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of medical scheduling, patient access, or healthcare administrative experience preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and scheduling software preferred.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, referrals, and authorizations is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
