Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support core accounting operations. This position is ideal for someone with experience managing general ledger activity, preparing journal entries, and assisting with corporate and sales tax processes. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to accurate financial reporting, maintain compliance, and strengthen day-to-day accounting functions within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure financial transactions are accurately reflected in the accounting system.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain reliable financial records.
• Support the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns in accordance with applicable regulations and deadlines.
• Manage sales tax reporting activities, including reviewing transactions and assisting with timely submissions.
• Participate in month-end and year-end close processes by organizing supporting documentation and verifying account balances.
• Analyze financial data and accounting records to identify issues, recommend corrections, and improve reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather required information for tax, audit, and financial reporting needs.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of accounting experience in a staff accountant or similar role.
• Hands-on knowledge of corporate tax, including exposure to tax return preparation.
• Experience handling sales tax processes and related compliance requirements.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ability to work accurately with financial data while meeting reporting deadlines.
• Proficiency with standard accounting systems and spreadsheet tools used for financial analysis.
• Strong organizational and communication skills in a business setting.

Compensation

$75,000.00-$80,000.00 Yearly
