Accountant - Entry Level

We are looking for an entry-level Accountant to support core financial operations for a manufacturing organization in Parsippany, New Jersey. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who is eager to build hands-on experience in day-to-day accounting while working with established financial systems and processes. The role offers exposure to transactional accounting, account review, and system-based financial recordkeeping in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
• Process and code financial transactions accurately within accounting and ERP platforms.
• Assist with preparing and posting routine journal entries to maintain complete and organized records.
• Review account activity and help investigate variances or discrepancies in financial data.
• Perform reconciliations for assigned accounts to support accurate month-end reporting.
• Support accounts payable tasks, including verifying details and maintaining proper documentation.
• Use Adobe Acrobat and related tools to organize, review, and manage accounting records.
• Work within Dynamics NAV and other accounting software to update, track, and validate financial information.
• Contribute to general accounting operations by following established procedures and maintaining data accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Entry-level experience or foundational knowledge in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Practical understanding of account coding and basic accounting procedures.
• Experience using accounting software systems or ERP-based financial tools.
• Familiarity with Dynamics NAV and broader ERP solutions is preferred.
• Ability to prepare accounting entries and assist with account analysis activities.
• Knowledge of account reconciliation principles and accounts payable processes.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat and standard digital document handling.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage work accurately in a structured environment.

Compensation

$23.75-$27.50 Hourly
