Billing Clerk/ Customer Service

We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Clerk/ Customer Service team member to support billing operations for a non-profit organization in Piqua, Ohio. This is a Contract position suited for someone who can manage billing invoicing tasks accurately while providing responsive assistance to customers. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with computerized billing tools, resolving account questions, and maintaining organized financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate billing statements in a timely manner while verifying account details and charges.

• Respond to customer inquiries related to invoices, balances, and payment activity with professionalism and clarity.

• Maintain billing records within the billing system and update account information as needed to support accuracy.

• Review billing transactions for discrepancies, research issues, and coordinate corrections when necessary.

• Use computerized billing tools to enter data, process routine billing activities, and generate account documentation.

• Support day-to-day customer service needs by addressing concerns and escalating complex billing matters appropriately.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience in billing, invoicing, accounts support, or a related administrative role.
• Working knowledge of billing functions, including statement preparation, payment tracking, and account review.
• Experience using a computerized billing system or similar software in a work setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and courteously.
• High attention to detail and accuracy when handling financial information and account records.
• Basic computer proficiency, including data entry and routine use of office applications.
• Ability to organize tasks effectively and manage multiple priorities in a contract assignment environment.

Compensation

$18.00-$20.00 Hourly
