Tax Sr. - Corporate
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the full sales and use tax compliance cycle, ensuring returns are prepared accurately and submitted on the required monthly, quarterly, and annual deadlines.
• Set up indirect tax registrations for newly acquired businesses, legal entities, and additional jurisdictions as the organization expands.
• Partner with legal stakeholders to revise tax account records when entity structures or registrations change.
• Work closely with accounting and business teams to gather, review, and interpret transaction data needed for tax reporting.
• Investigate tax notices, filing differences, and other compliance matters, and drive issues through resolution in a timely manner.
• Coordinate the payment of tax-related invoices, renewals, and jurisdictional obligations to avoid lapses or penalties.
• Perform research on indirect tax rules affecting new sites, acquisitions, and operational changes to maintain compliance.
• Assist with improvements to tax technology, workflows, and internal processes that increase accuracy and efficiency.
• Support audit preparation by organizing documentation, compiling requested records, and responding to auditor questions.
• Contribute to broader tax projects and team initiatives as business needs evolve.
Qualifications:
• At least 5 years of experience in indirect tax, with a focus on sales and use tax compliance.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Working knowledge of indirect tax regulations and a willingness to deepen expertise across jurisdictions.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities, with the ability to reconcile data and identify meaningful findings.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate independently, manage priorities effectively, and take ownership of deliverables in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience using tax compliance tools such as Avalara is preferred.
• High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Compensation
