Accounting Specialist Salinas, California We are seeking an Accounting Specialist to support the daily financial operations of a healthcare organization in Salinas, California. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in accurate work, enjoys a blend of accounts payable and accounts receivable responsibilities, and values contributing to an organization focused on patient care and community health. The successful candidate will help maintain reliable financial records, assist with routine financial reporting, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure accounting processes run smoothly and efficiently in a healthcare environment. Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, recording journal entries, and maintaining organized financial records. Based on general knowledge. Enter and update accounting data in QuickBooks and related systems with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Based on general knowledge. Review invoices, payment requests, billing documentation, and account adjustments to ensure appropriate coding, supporting documentation, and approvals prior to processing. Based on general knowledge. Reconcile bank accounts, general ledger balances, daily cash activity, and other assigned accounts to ensure the accuracy of financial records. Based on general knowledge. Research variances or unusual transactions, resolve routine discrepancies, and escalate more complex issues as needed. Based on general knowledge. Support accounts receivable functions by posting payments, preparing deposits, generating invoices, and maintaining sub-ledger activity for assigned accounts. Based on general knowledge. Assist with monthly and periodic reporting by preparing aging reports, account analyses, financial summaries, and other internal reporting as requested. Based on general knowledge. Coordinate accounts payable processes, including vendor statement reconciliations, weekly check runs or electronic payments, W-9 maintenance, and year-end reporting support. Qualifications:

Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in an accounting support, accounting clerk, or similar finance role. Based on general knowledge. Hands-on experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, billing support, and data entry. Based on general knowledge.
