Accounts Payable Specialist
A busy commercial construction company is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to support multiple active construction projects. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has experience processing subcontractor invoices, purchase orders, and job cost coding.
Responsibilities
- Review and process subcontractor and vendor invoices
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
- Code invoices to the appropriate jobs and cost codes
- Prepare payment runs and maintain payment schedules
- Reconcile vendor statements
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally
- Assist with month-end accounting activities
Qualifications:
- 2–3 years of accounts payable experience
- Construction accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of job costing and lien waivers is a plus
- Experience with Sage, Vista, or Foundation preferred
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
