Collections Specialist
A well-established manufacturing company is seeking a Collections Specialist who can balance professionalism with persistence. You'll partner with customers and internal accounting teams to resolve outstanding balances while maintaining positive business relationships.
Responsibilities
- Contact customers regarding past-due invoices
- Review aging reports and prioritize collection efforts
- Research payment discrepancies and resolve billing issues
- Negotiate payment arrangements when appropriate
- Document collection activities within the accounting system
- Partner with Sales and Customer Service to resolve account concerns
- Prepare weekly collection status reports
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of business-to-business collections experience
- Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with ERP systems is preferred
Compensation
