Coordinator, Talent

We are looking for a Talent Coordinator to support onboarding and pre-employment activities for new hires while delivering a positive and attentive candidate experience. This Long-term Contract position is fully remote and requires availability to support teams operating in the Houston, Texas time zone or other designated company time zones. Based in Houston, Texas, this role partners with internal stakeholders and candidates to keep hiring workflows organized, responsive, and on schedule.

Responsibilities:
• Guide candidates through onboarding and pre-boarding steps, helping ensure a smooth and welcoming start to employment.
• Respond to questions from candidates, hiring teams, and talent advisors with clear updates and timely follow-through.
• Maintain accurate records in candidate profiles and track status changes throughout the hiring process.
• Coordinate closely with recruiters and hiring partners to monitor pre-employment milestones and keep activities moving forward.
• Oversee the completion of background screenings and other required checks, addressing delays proactively when they arise.
• Escalate complex concerns to the appropriate team members and help drive issues toward resolution.
• Prepare and update reports, templates, research materials, and other administrative documents that support talent operations.
• Represent the organization effectively in all interactions and contribute to a high-quality experience for candidates and internal customers.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in human resources, recruitment coordination, onboarding, or a related support function.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to build effective working relationships across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with careful attention to accuracy and professionalism.
• Solid organizational and time management abilities in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to research issues, follow established policies, and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Experience in transportation, oil and gas, waste services, or French language fluency is preferred but not required.

Compensation

$22.00-$24.00 Hourly
