Accounting Manager/Supervisor
A growing consumer products company with national and international distribution is seeking an Accounting Manager to support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close activities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while helping drive accounting accuracy, process improvements, and financial controls across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, account reconciliations, and cash management.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, including invoice processing, vendor and customer communications, expense reporting, and payment reconciliations.
- Reconcile sales, inventory, returns, receivables, and expenses across multiple sales channels and business platforms.
- Assist with audit preparation, financial analyses, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Coordinate annual 1099 reporting and support inventory count and reconciliation activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen accounting operations and financial controls.
- Partner with leadership on special projects and other finance-related initiatives.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience within an EDI/ Manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience working with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA designation or progress toward certification is a plus.
- Experience in consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, e-commerce, retail, or omnichannel environments is preferred.
