UI & Web Visual Designer

We are looking for a talented UI & Web Visual Designer to create compelling digital experiences for consumer-facing web and ecommerce platforms. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for a designer who combines strong visual execution with a deep understanding of user interface best practices and performance-driven design. The right candidate will bring a strong portfolio, advanced Figma expertise, and the ability to translate customer behavior data into design decisions that improve engagement and conversion.

Responsibilities:
• Create visually engaging web and UI designs for consumer-focused digital experiences, with an emphasis on ecommerce performance and brand consistency.
• Develop high-quality layouts, components, and visual assets that support intuitive navigation and a seamless online shopping journey.
• Use Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud tools to produce design concepts, refine interface details, and prepare assets for implementation.
• Apply user interface design principles to improve usability, strengthen visual hierarchy, and enhance overall customer interaction across web pages.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business goals, product needs, and customer insights into effective design solutions.
• Evaluate site performance data and user behavior trends to inform design updates that increase engagement, support conversions, and help reduce cart abandonment.
• Maintain and evolve visual standards across digital touchpoints to ensure a cohesive and consistent brand presence.
• Present design rationale clearly, incorporate feedback constructively, and iterate on solutions to achieve both creative and business objectives.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in visual design, UI design, or web design, preferably supporting consumer-facing digital products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating ecommerce-focused web design work and strong user interface execution.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma for interface design, layout creation, and collaborative design workflows.
• Hands-on experience with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Solid understanding of UI principles, visual hierarchy, typography, color, and responsive digital design.
• Ability to use data and performance insights to guide design decisions related to engagement, conversion, and shopping behavior.
• Strong graphic design skills with the ability to create clean, modern, and user-centered visual experiences.

Compensation

$43.54-$50.41 Hourly
