Our client is looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to support daily front-office operations and create a welcoming, efficient experience for every patient. This position plays an important role in coordinating appointments, handling insurance-related administrative tasks, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring each visit runs smoothly from arrival through checkout. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, confidence working in a healthcare setting, and a detail-oriented, patient-centered communication style.


Hourly Pay: $25-$35/hour

Responsibilities:

• Welcome patients upon arrival, guide them through the intake process, and provide courteous assistance throughout their visit.

• Coordinate appointment calendars, confirm upcoming visits, and help manage scheduling changes to keep office flow organized.

• Oversee check-in and checkout activities, including collecting required information, processing payments, and documenting visit details accurately.

• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for government and commercial plans to support timely billing and reimbursement.

• Maintain complete and current patient records within the electronic health record system while safeguarding confidential information.

• Prepare documentation needed for claims processing, copays, and related billing follow-up to help reduce administrative delays.

• Organize medical files, support records management tasks, and keep front-desk documentation orderly and accessible.

• Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure administrative needs are addressed before, during, and after patient appointments.


Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in patient service or a similar administrative role within a medical setting.

• Working knowledge of insurance verification, patient scheduling, medical records coordination, and front-office support functions.

• Familiarity with medical billing concepts and common insurance terminology, including processes related to claims and copay collection.

• Experience using electronic health record or practice management systems; exposure to platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, DrChrono, Meditech, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems is preferred.

• Proficiency with standard office software, including Microsoft Word and Excel, and comfort navigating digital administrative tools.

• Ability to manage sensitive patient information with professionalism, accuracy, and strict attention to privacy requirements.

• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

• Bilingual communication skills are a plus and may be helpful in supporting a diverse patient population


Compensation

$52,000.00-$70,000.00 Yearly
