Junior Legal Assistant
Looking to Break Into the Legal Field?
We're looking for a motivated, curious, and organized Junior Legal Assistant to join a growing legal team in Redwood City!
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their legal career—whether you're a recent graduate, paralegal student, legal intern, or someone with administrative experience looking to gain hands-on exposure in a law firm environment.
No two days are the same, and you'll have the chance to learn directly from experienced attorneys and legal professionals while building skills that can jumpstart your legal career.
Responsibilities
- Support attorneys with administrative and legal tasks
- Prepare and organize legal documents and files
- Schedule meetings and manage calendars
- Communicate with clients and outside parties
- Track deadlines and maintain case files
- Provide general office and legal support to the team
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 0–2 years of legal, administrative, customer service, or office experience
- Paralegal Certificate completed or in progress preferred
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, dependable, and eager to learn
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous law firm, legal, or administrative experience
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, or document management systems
- Notary Public certification or interest in obtaining one
- Experience scheduling appointments and managing calendars
- Strong proofreading and document formatting skills
- Interest in building a long-term career in the legal field
- Familiarity with legal terminology or legal procedures is a plus
Compensation
