Sr. Accountant

Robert Half is partnering with a growing life sciences organization to identify a Senior Accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who is comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day general ledger accounting activities
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and account adjustments
• Lead and support the month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Analyze account activity and investigate variances
• Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities as needed
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Support audit and tax preparation requests
• Assist with technical accounting and special projects as needed
• Maintain accurate accounting records in the company’s ERP system
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, finance, and other internal teams

Qualifications:

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
• Experience preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Life sciences, biotech, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated industry experience preferred
• Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs, and financial analysis
• Experience supporting audits and financial reporting
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
