Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Provides and assists the Chief of Mobilization Operations to facilitate demobilization and mobilization trackers, funding, and missions

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collects data to update MSURE charts for distribution to various agencies across the installation and for use in the Battle Update Briefings (BUB), Commander Updates Briefings (CUB) and Validations.
  • Reviews III Corps and IMCOM OPORDs for tasks impacting North Fort Cavazos (NFC) DPTMS mission and distributes information to appropriate agency
  • Reviews 1A and Div West OPORDs, EXORDs and Mobilization regulations for impact to NFC operations (LSMO, LSCO and Daily Operations)
  • Assists as needed with NFC DPTMS input to Mobilization Support Plan (MSP) and Installation Deployment Support plan (IDSP)
  • QCs all MOB and DEMOB unit home station funding requests for submission to government for approval
  • Assists the Chief of Mobilization Operations to develop the MOB budget by estimating future home station funding requirements for units scheduled to MOB through NFC
  • Tracks soldiers for MOB/DEMOB boots on ground (BOG) and provides input to SITREP for installation agencies and First Army Division West
  • Assists in developing long and short-range plans for support of MOB/DEMOB units on NFC
  • Analyzes capabilities of NFC and make recommendations to improve capabilities
  • Prepares MOB/DEMOB trackers and distributes to Garrison agencies
  • Checks SIPR as needed for changes to flights for MOB/DEMOB units and distributes information and OPORDs from Higher HQs 1A, III Corp and Garrison
  • Adherence to all TLC Policies accessed through Deltek Costpoint via the following path.

  • This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.
    • Hours of work 7:30AM -4:30PM (M-F)

    NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • No supervisory responsibilities required


Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Essential :

  • Must be able to type 40 wpm
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Security Clearance
  • Excellent personal communication skills
  • Must have valid state drivers license and be able to maintain post driving privileges
  • Must be able to obtain/maintain Common Access Card
  • Ability to prioritize work, complete multiple tasks, and work under deadlines
  • Must be able to devise steps necessary to complete tasks

Preferred :

  • Associate degree preferred
  • Battle Staff and 3-5 years staff operations preferred
  • Prior work with military/government preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, comprehend and explain instructions, letters, memos, emails, and correspondence from inside the organization as well as from external sources. Ability to effectively respond, communicate and present information to customers, internal and external, clients and other employees in the organization. Ability to interpret instructions and information and explain to others in the performance of this job in English.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, stoop down and lift and carry more than 50 pounds on a regular basis. Must possess visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone ; and the manual dexterity to operate computer.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/HOURS:

This position is not eligible for remote work, as the essential functions of the role require the employee to perform duties on-site.

Work performed indoors. No travel requirements. Will work 40 hours work week with a possibility to work weekends and/or holidays if mission/operations require. This position supports the DOD on a federal installation and the candidate must be available to work at the assigned physical location during business hours.

EXPECTATIONS:

Transportation & Access: You must have reliable transportation to and from work and be able to access military installations.

Background & Drug Screening: Employment requires passing a background check and pre-employment drug screening. Random drug and alcohol testing may also occur without prior notice.

Timesheets: Record your actual work hours daily and ensure your entries are accurate and timely to support smooth operations.

Dress & Punctuality: Arrive on time and dress appropriately for your shift.
