Accounts Receivable Clerk
Responsibilities:
• Record incoming customer payments, cash receipts, and credit card transactions each business day to keep receivable balances current.
• Coordinate invoice generation and billing activities to support timely and accurate customer charges.
• Organize and maintain accounts receivable records, ensuring supporting documentation is complete and easy to retrieve.
• Perform assigned reconciliations for general ledger accounts and investigate discrepancies as needed.
• Provide day-to-day clerical assistance for the Finance Division, including preparing correspondence, distributing mail, and managing filing tasks.
• Maintain follow-up tracking files for finance leadership to support deadlines, reminders, and pending items.
• Safeguard confidential departmental records such as insurance documents, contracts, trust-related files, maintenance agreements, and payroll documentation.
• Support the Accounting Manager and finance leadership team with additional administrative and accounting-related assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
• Experience in accounts receivable, billing, payment posting, or other related accounting support functions.• Ability to process invoices accurately and work with invoice coding and payment-related documentation.
• Familiarity with reconciliations, financial recordkeeping, and maintaining organized supporting files.
• Strong clerical and administrative skills, including document preparation, filing, and mail handling.
• Ability to manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Proficiency in standard office and accounting systems, with solid data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Dependable availability to work a Monday through Friday schedule in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Compensation
