Safety Specialist
Our client in East Houston is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a safety professional with strong compliance knowledge, OSHA experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and promote a strong safety culture across the facility
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Manage OSHA reporting and assist with safety-related projects
- Conduct safety audits, inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance workplace safety
- Partner with operations and leadership to address safety concerns and implement best practices
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports using MS Office
Schedule
- Must be able to work rotating shifts, alternating between days for one month and nights for one month
- Schedule includes 10–12-hour shifts
- Required to work only 2 Saturdays per month
- Our client is known for being flexible and supportive with family and kid-related events
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 3+ years of safety experience
- Experience with compliance, OSHA reporting/projects, and safety audits
- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- OSHA 30 required; additional safety certifications are a plus
Compensation
