Safety Specialist

Our client in East Houston is seeking a Safety Specialist to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a safety professional with strong compliance knowledge, OSHA experience, and a proactive approach to process improvement and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and promote a strong safety culture across the facility
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Manage OSHA reporting and assist with safety-related projects
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and follow-up on corrective actions
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance workplace safety
• Partner with operations and leadership to address safety concerns and implement best practices
• Maintain accurate safety documentation and reports using MS Office

Schedule

• Must be able to work rotating shifts, alternating between days for one month and nights for one month
• Schedule includes 10–12-hour shifts
• Required to work only 2 Saturdays per month
• Our client is known for being flexible and supportive with family and kid-related events

Qualifications:

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety experience
• Experience with compliance, OSHA reporting/projects, and safety audits
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• OSHA 30 required; additional safety certifications are a plus
