Commercial Loan Operations Manager

We are looking for an experienced Commercial Loan Operations Manager to lead daily loan servicing and administrative functions in Twin Cities, Minnesota. This role oversees operational quality, team performance, and service delivery for commercial lending activities while supporting broader departmental goals. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of loan operations, and a consistent focus on compliance, accuracy, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day execution of loan operations activities, ensuring work is completed accurately, on schedule, and in line with established service expectations.

• Guide, coach, and support team members through goal setting, regular feedback, performance discussions, and ongoing development planning.

• Assess staffing needs and participate in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts to build a capable and well-prepared loan operations team.

• Direct departmental workflows related to loan boarding, servicing, documentation, reporting, and quality control to maintain efficient and reliable operations.

• Track service levels, review exception and quality patterns, and partner with leadership to address root causes and strengthen operational performance.

• Maintain adherence to bank policies and applicable federal and state regulations by overseeing controls, audit readiness, and timely resolution of identified issues.

• Review and process complex commercial loan transactions, including modifications, renewals, refinances, extensions, and other servicing requests requiring detailed operational oversight.

• Prepare and evaluate loan documentation to confirm alignment with credit standards, legal requirements, compliance expectations, and internal procedures.

• Support system enhancements, product rollouts, and operational updates by coordinating with cross-functional teams, assisting with implementation activities, and reinforcing user training.

• Recommend and implement process improvements that enhance service quality, increase efficiency, and support the evolving needs of internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible related experience.

• At least 5 years of experience in loan operations, including a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position.

• Strong background in commercial loan servicing, administration, documentation, and transaction processing.

• Working knowledge of banking regulations, operational controls, and compliance standards affecting loan operations.

• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities, monitor workloads, and improve processes in a deadline-driven environment.

• Experience reviewing complex loan structures and agreements with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

• Proficiency in collaborating across departments to support system changes, product implementations, and operational initiatives.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
