We are looking for a Finance Manager/Controller to join a REMOTE contract engagement supporting cash flow planning and liquidity analysis in North Carolina. This interim role is well suited for a finance professional who can quickly step into an asset-based lending environment and strengthen forecasting accuracy. The consultant will help leadership evaluate near-term cash needs, monitor borrowing capacity, and improve financial visibility through practical modeling and reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage short- and mid-range cash flow projections that support daily liquidity planning and business decision-making.

• Build financial models that connect operating activity, working capital trends, and funding needs to provide clear insight into cash performance.

• Evaluate how receivables and inventory influence borrowing availability within an asset-based lending structure and reflect those impacts in forecasts.

• Prepare and refine reporting tied to invoice-backed and inventory-backed financing arrangements to support lender expectations and internal review.

• Work closely with finance leadership to provide a clearer view of cash position, expected inflows and outflows, and available borrowing capacity.

• Review current forecasting approaches, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and implement improvements that increase reliability and speed.

• Support financial analysis related to liquidity management, funding requirements, and other time-sensitive finance priorities during the engagement.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining cash flow forecasts in a corporate finance, treasury, or consulting setting.
• Strong background working in an asset-based lending environment, including familiarity with receivables and inventory-driven borrowing structures.
• Proven ability to build practical financial models and translate complex cash drivers into actionable insights.
• Knowledge of borrowing base concepts, lender reporting expectations, and liquidity planning practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to organize, analyze, and present financial data effectively.
• Experience with financial analysis, financial reporting, and forecasting in fast-moving business environments.
