Our client is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations and guide a team supporting a complex, multiple entity environment. This role partners closely with senior leadership to deliver reliable reporting, strengthen financial oversight, and support sound business decisions. The position is well suited for a hands-on accounting leader who can balance day-to-day execution with process improvement and staff development.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the month-end and year-end close across a range of entities, ensuring timely completion of ledger activities, reconciliations, and intercompany balancing.

• Maintain accurate accounting records and oversee journal entry review to support complete and reliable financial statements, budgets, and operational reporting.

• Produce and analyze management reports covering profitability, cash activity, cost trends, and overall financial performance for leadership review.

• Evaluate historical and current financial results to identify trends, explain changes, and present meaningful insights to senior management.

• Coordinate the consolidation of budget information and assist with forecast submissions, including variance analysis against plan and prior periods.

• Work with business leaders to improve resource allocation, enhance internal controls, and recommend practical changes that support efficiency and capital preservation.

• Monitor investment-related financial activity and ensure related accounting and reporting are handled accurately and consistently.

• Supervise, coach, and prioritize the work of four accounting and analyst team members to maintain quality, accountability, and career growth.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of accounting experience, including leadership responsibility within a finance or accounting function.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger management, month-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliation.
• Experience preparing financial reports and supporting financial statement audits.
• Ability to interpret financial data, investigate variances, and communicate findings clearly to management.
• Background overseeing accounting activities for multiple entities or complex organizational structures is preferred.
• Proven people management skills with the ability to direct, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.

Compensation

$130,000.00-$140,000.00 Yearly
