Procurement Specialist
Responsibilities:
• Support sourcing and purchasing initiatives by preparing procurement documents, tracking requests, and helping ensure buying activities stay aligned with established procedures.
• Work closely with the Procurement Manager to coordinate bid packages, proposal requests, and contract-related materials from initial intake through final review.
• Review purchasing needs and assist with creating, updating, and processing purchase orders with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Participate in competitive sourcing efforts by organizing RFP documentation, comparing vendor submissions, and summarizing findings for decision-making.
• Maintain procurement records, spreadsheets, and reporting tools to monitor pricing, supplier activity, and status of open requests.
• Communicate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to gather information, clarify requirements, and support timely resolution of purchasing issues.
• Contribute analytical support using Excel to evaluate costs, track procurement metrics, and identify discrepancies or trends.
• Use NetSuite to manage procurement-related transactions, maintain system data, and support ongoing operational needs or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, buying, or a closely related operational role.• Hands-on knowledge of corporate procurement practices, including purchase order processing and day-to-day buying workflows.
• Experience supporting bids, requests for proposals, or contract documentation in a business environment that requires strong attention to detail.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to organize data, track activity, and produce clear reporting.
• Practical experience using NetSuite for procurement, purchasing, or related business functions.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments at once while maintaining accuracy, organization, and follow-through.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with vendors, managers, and cross-functional teams.
