Manager Escrow Administration - Insurance

We are looking for an experienced leader to oversee insurance administration within a growing mortgage servicing environment in the northwest Suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. This role is responsible for guiding daily operations, strengthening controls, and ensuring borrower insurance activity is handled accurately and in accordance with regulatory and client expectations. The position also plays a key part in improving workflows, managing external partners, and supporting a high-performing team focused on service, compliance, and operational quality.

Responsibilities:

• Direct insurance administration activities across a mortgage servicing portfolio, ensuring daily work is completed accurately, efficiently, and in line with department goals.

• Supervise the review and validation of required property insurance coverage, including hazard, flood, windstorm, condominium, and association-related policies based on loan and investor requirements.

• Oversee escrow-related insurance premium payments to help maintain uninterrupted coverage and reduce risk to borrowers, clients, and collateral.

• Manage follow-up on non-escrowed loans by coordinating with borrowers, insurance agents, carriers, vendors, and clients to confirm active and sufficient coverage.

• Administer lender-placed insurance processes, including required notices, policy placement, cancellations, refunds, and supporting records in accordance with applicable rules and servicing standards.

• Resolve insurance-related exceptions such as policy cancellations, non-renewals, inadequate coverage amounts, missing documentation, and incorrect mortgagee information.

• Lead vendor oversight for insurance tracking, flood determinations, and lender-placed insurance services to ensure contractual performance and service expectations are met.

• Maintain adherence to federal and state regulations, investor guidance, insurer standards, and client servicing obligations affecting insurance administration.

• Drive operational improvements through reporting, workflow refinement, automation opportunities, and process controls that enhance scalability, quality, and customer experience.

• Coach, evaluate, and develop team members while monitoring productivity, service levels, compliance results, and overall departmental performance.

Qualifications:

• At least five years of experience in mortgage servicing with strong knowledge of insurance administration, escrow disbursements, lender-placed insurance, flood insurance monitoring, or closely related servicing functions.
• At least three years of leadership experience in a manager, supervisor, or team lead role within mortgage operations or servicing.
• Demonstrated understanding of escrow processing, loan administration, and insurance-related servicing requirements within the mortgage industry.
• Ability to interpret and apply federal and state regulations, investor guidelines, insurer standards, and client servicing requirements.
• Experience managing vendor relationships, service delivery expectations, and performance metrics in a regulated operational setting.
• Strong reporting and analytical skills with the ability to use data to monitor exceptions, quality, productivity, and compliance trends.
• Proven ability to lead teams effectively through coaching, accountability, performance management, and continuous improvement efforts.

Compensation

$90,000.00-$110,000.00 Yearly
