Receptionist

We are looking for a detail-oriented Receptionist to support front-desk operations for a client in Irondale Alabama. This Contract position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating a welcoming first impression, managing incoming communications efficiently, and keeping daily administrative tasks organized. The role will serve as a central point of contact for visitors and callers while helping the location run smoothly each day.

Responsibilities:

• Greet visitors promptly and provide a courteous, welcoming first point of contact for the office or dealership location.

• Manage a multi-line phone system by answering, screening, and directing incoming calls to the appropriate team members.

• Handle inbound calls with accuracy and care, taking messages when needed and ensuring timely follow-up.

• Support day-to-day front desk activities, including maintaining an orderly reception area and assisting with basic administrative tasks.

• Coordinate communication between customers, staff, and departments to help maintain efficient daily operations.

• Monitor phone traffic and prioritize calls appropriately during busy periods to ensure a smooth caller experience.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience performing receptionist or front desk duties in an office setting.
• Ability to operate a multi-line switchboard or phone system with confidence and accuracy.
• Strong verbal communication skills and a courteous phone manner when handling inbound calls.
• Comfortable managing several tasks at once while remaining organized and attentive to detail.
• Dependable and punctual, with the flexibility to succeed in a part-time schedule.
• Customer-focused approach with the ability to interact courteously with visitors, clients, and internal staff.

Compensation

$20.00-$22.00 Hourly
